COD Analyzer
Our Chemical Oxygen Demand Analyzer is engineered with exceptional functionality and performance to meet the demands of continuous water quality monitoring. It features a standard RS485 digital communication interface, enabling direct and cost-effective data transmission for easy integration with SCADA or remote monitoring systems. COD Analyzer supports remote status display, parameter configuration, calibration, and fault diagnostics, allowing operators to remotely manage and maintain the instrument with increased efficiency and reliability. To withstand harsh environmental conditions, the COD analyzer is built with a rugged IP68-rated waterproof and dust proof housing, making it ideal for long-term deployment in reservoirs, rivers, drinking water plants, and wastewater treatment facilities. The device is equipped with a high-strength 1500N Kevlar-reinforced cable, ensuring stable communication over long distances—up to 1.2 km—enabling flexible installation in diverse field conditions.
In terms of measurement principle, the analyzer is compliant with Taiwan EPA’s NIEA W518.51C standard for automatic monitoring facilities. It determines COD concentration by measuring the absorbance of UV light at 254 nm, which correlates to the presence of organic compounds containing conjugated double bonds or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Additionally, the built-in 530 nm photometric system automatically compensates for turbidity and suspended solids in water, enhancing measurement accuracy.
